Johnny Ray “Butch” Smith, age 64, of Jersey, AR, died Monday, July 24, at John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, AR. Born February 10, 1953, in Warren, AR, a son of the late John Henry Smith and Eva Rae Wright Smith he was retired from International Paper Company in Bastrop, LA, and a Baptist.
Survivors are one son William Clint Smith and spouse Stormy, of Bastrop, LA. One daughter Terri Lynn Bird and spouse Joe, of Bastrop, LA. Seven grandchildren.
Funeral service was 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Carl C.S. Cascio officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and Stephanie Wright was soloist. Burial was in Hilo Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Lance Lucas, Craig Mashburn, Bodie Cooper, Ryan Harrod, Ethan Goyne, and Trey Goyne.
