Hazel Willowdene Ferrell

Hazel Willowdene Ferrell, age 94, of Monticello, AR, formerly of Warren, AR, peacefully passed into heaven Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Belle View Estates Rehabilitation and Care Center, Monticello, AR.  She was born April 24, 1925 in Winchester, AR, a daughter of Elbert Carl Dorman, Sr. and Susan Ophelia Roberts. Hazel was a proud mother and homemaker. She was a great cook, gardener, homemaker and friend who worked tirelessly for her family, church and the Eastern Star. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Warren, AR until moving to Monticello where she became a member of Pauline Baptist Church, Monticello, AR and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapters #3 and #374.  Married for 68 years, her husband, John Clifford “Big John” Ferrell, preceded her in death on June 2, 2009.  Also preceding her in death was a son, John Carl Ferrell, brother Elbert Carl Dorman, Jr, a sister Benegene Rudiger a grandchild and two great grandchildren.

 Survivors are 2 sons, Tommy Ferrell (Diane), Monticello, AR, Cliff Ferrell (Sandra), Hot Sprints, AR, a daughter Julia Ferrell Harris (Randy), Barry, TX, a sister Carlene Sanders, aged 102, Wasilla, AK, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services 2:00 PM Sunday, July 21st, at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation 1:00PM till service time at Frazer’s Funeral Home.
