Hurley Scroggins, Jr.

Hurley Scroggins, Jr. died September 30,2018, in Tucson, Arizona.

He was born in Bradley County, AR on August 15, 1936 to Annie Mac Smith and Hurley Scroggins.

He retired from the Air Force after serving more than 20 years and from E. Systems of Greenville, TX.

He lived in Why, Arizona in the Sonoran Desert for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Mary Alice and two brothers Delbert (Sonny) and Orville.

He is survived by one son, Hurley III, of Pismo Beach, CA, three brothers, Jerry Scroggins of Klute TX, Joe Scroggins of Hardy, AR., and Dale Scroggins (Carolyn), five sisters, Martha Richards of Hardy, AR, Bobbye Vines of Wawson, AR, Judy Brown (Burl) of Fairfield Bay, AR, Kathy Rosebrook (Paul) of Hardy, AR and Sharon Lathan (Richard) of Fairfield Bay, AR.

Memorial services will be announced at a later time.

  1. Hurley Jr's ashes were spread in the shade of two desert trees in his off-the-grid camp where he found peace of mind. Some of his son's ashes, Hurley Scroggins lll who died four days after he did, were placed close to his. The memorial service continues with nature's creatures he knew.
