Vadna Roberts, age 87, of Warren, Arkansas died Sunday , November 19, at Chapel woods. She was born July 8, 1930 in Good Hope, Arkansas a daughter of the late Herbert Thomas Neely and Frankie Dallas Doster Neely. She received her education in the Good Hope school and moved to Arizona in 1946 and after graduation moved back to Warren and worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Hugh Moseley, Jr. She married Jack Roberts and lived in Maryland and California; returning to Warren she worked at Martin’s and entered the University of Arkansas at Monticello in1978 where she graduated in 1978 with a BSN degree. She worked at Crow Whaley Clinic, Bradley County Memorial Hospital and retired from Wagnon Place Nursing Home as Director of Nursing. She is survived by a son Drew Neely Roberts, Jacksonville, Ark; a daughter Kathy McMullen and spouse, Pat, San Antonio, Texas; 2 sisters Mildred Brazeel, Warren Ark, and Mary Virginia Grimm and spouse Rodney, Smackover, Ark and a grandson Maj. Jakob Schwam, Little Rock, Ark. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers Edward Neely, W. T. Neely and Johnnie Mack Neely. Memorial service 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 22, at Frazer’s Chapel.
