Lee Watson Freeman

Lee Watson Freeman, age 94, of Hermitage, Ark. died Friday February 3, at El Dorado, Ark. He was born January 29, 1923 in Clark County, Arkansas a son of the late Ben Freeman and Bessie Howel Freeman. He serviced in the U S Army, was a Baptist and a retired maintenance worker for the Gurdon Housing Authority.  Surviving is his wife Laverne Reynolds Freeman whom he married on April 28, 1997 in Mt. View, Ark;  2 sons Larry Freeman and spouse Carol, Alta Loma, Calif. and Kevin Freeman, Phoenix, Ariz;  1 daughter Andrea Freeman and spouse Steven Leukin, Phoenix, Ariz; 3 step daughters Sheila Smith and spouse Doyle Wayne, Warren, Ark, Becky Taylor and spouse John, Shirley, Ark. and Tammie McNeal McGonigal and spouse Brian, Hobe Sound Fla; 6 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a wife Louise Koon Freeman; 3 brothers Bennie Freeman, Robert Freeman and Therin Freeman; 3 sisters Pauline Castor,Opal Hurst and Joyce Freeman.  Funeral service was 1:30 Monday, February 6, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Don Smith officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in  Gravelridge Cemetery near Hermitage by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Doyle Wayne Smith, John Taylor, Ken Thornton, Terry Reynolds, Michael Reynolds and Brian McGonigal. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Rankin, Victor Myers and Randy Gates.
