Martha A. Cornelius age 87, of Warren, AR passed away February 1st in the Woods Nursing Home at Monticello, AR. She was born November 23rd, 1929 in Lewisville, AR, a daughter of the late Alton Cap Daugherty and Myrtle Redmon Daugherty. She was a life long resident of Warren, AR, where she retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a long standing member of the First United Methodist Church. She loved her church and always said it was the most beautiful Church in town. She was the loving wife of the late Jack Cornelius, whom she married October 6th, 1949 in Magnolia, AR and was also preceded in death by 3 sisters Geanette Ford Cochran, Maxie Welbourn and Jennie Lovell.
She is survived by 3 daughters Lesa Oldham and spouse James, Quakertown, PA. Jackie Clark and spouse Bart, Cabot, AR, and Linda Smith and spouse Lawrence, Monticello, AR. 7 grandchildren, Michael, Rachel, Gregory, Wayne, Walter, Jennifer and Jayson. 7 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was 1:30 pm Sunday, February 5th at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Gary Harrison officiating. Arrangements were by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Memorials preferred The First United Methodist Church, 111 West Church Street, Warren, AR 71671. Online guestbook www.frazerfuneralhome.com
