Bobby James Morgan

Bobby James Morgan, 74, of Long Beach, California, died Sunday, January 1, 1917 at Long Beach VA Hospital.

Born February 25, 1942, he was a son of the late Eugene and Colorado Morgan.

He was a graduate of Bradley County high School.  He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp, after 4 years of service.  He worked for the city of Richmond for 5 years, then moved to Las Vegas for 26 years, where he met and married Verlean Daniels.  He moved to Philadelphia, PA, where he worked for the Federal Government for 15 years and later moved to Los Angeles.  He was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Los Angeles.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Verlean Daniels and 5 siblings.

His daughter-Arthur Renee' Smith (Samuel)

Siblings-Ear Morgan of Warren, Henry Beavers, Carolyn Smith, both of Richmond, CA., Eugene and bobby Morgan of Joliet, IL., Isaiah Morgan of Chicago, IL., and Reola Green of Los Angeles, CA.

Grandchildren-Donnika Gordan of Atlanta, GA., Terrance Gordan of Richmond, CA., Ayanna Smith and Aamari Smith both of Downey, CA.

Great-grandchildren-Stevie Janae and Stevoni Jackson of Atlanta, GA.

A host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were January 22 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Camden with Rev. Roy V. Elliot, Jr. pastor an eulogist.  Burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home of Warren.
