Roger Dale Gorman, Sr.

Roger Dale Gorman, Sr, age 65, of Hermitage, AR, died Friday, August 19, 2016, at home after a lengthy battle with cancer.  The son of the late Charlie Austin Gorman and Neta Ross Gorman of Hermitage, he was a boilermaker and proud member of the Local 69 Boilermakers Union in Little Rock, AR.  He was a Baptist and a member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Gravel Ridge.  Roger retired in 2013, to build his home and farm so that he could enjoy time with his family and friends.  He was an avid fisherman, loved to hunt and enjoyed raising his garden.  His farm was always filled with family and friends whom he loved to cook for and entertain.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tommy Lee Gorman and Charles Anthony Gorman, both formerly of Warren; and sister, Lynda Gorman Johnson, of Tyler, TX. Survivors include his sons, Roger Gorman, Jr and wife, Marilyn; Randy Gorman, and wife, Marcy, all of Hermitage, AR.  Four grandchildren Randy Gorman, Jr, Justin Gorman, Layla Gorman and Anna Gorman.  He also leaves behind sisters, Wanda Reep of Brookport, IL and Beverly Latimer, and husband Clay, of Houston; TX. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday August 22, at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren.
