Henry Wilson Jones

   Henry Wilson Jones, age 88, of New Edinburg, AR, died Thursday May 19, at John R. Williamson Hospice House. Born December 2, 1927, in Monroe, LA, a son of the late Ira Samuel Jones and Bernice Sessions Jones, he was a retired electrician, cattleman, timber man and poultry grower. Henry was a member of Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church where he was ordained a deacon in 1978. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and on the New Edinburg School Board. Also preceding him in death was a brother Lewis D. Jones; sisters Maxine Galbreath and Delois Ruth Adams.

Survivors are his wife Rachel McClellan Jones whom he married June 11, 1954. 3 daughters Peggy Cole and spouse Rickey of El Dorado, AR, Deborah Jones of New Edinburg, AR and Allison Dallen and spouse Greg of Broken Arrow, OK. 1 sister Mary Craine of Palm Springs, CA. 1 sister in law Mary John Jones of Fayetteville, AR. 5 grandchildren Holly Hanry and husband Rhett  of Junction City, AR, Meridith Armstrong and husband Kyle of Arkadelphia AR, Lucas Jones Dallen, Joshua Jones Dallen and Zachary Jones Dallen all of Broken Arrow, OK. 2 great grandchildren Cole Hanry and Wilson Hanry.

Funeral service was 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 21, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Billy Wilson, Greg Dallen, Ricky Cole and John McClellan officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial with flag presentation was in Reaves Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Rhett Hanry, Hally Hanry, Cole Hanry, Wilson Hanry, Meridith Armstrong, Kyle Armstrong, Lucas Dallen and Joshua Dallen.
