Susan Loomis Carter age 62, of Wilmar, AR died Tuesday, April 5th at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, AR. She was born October 12th, 1953 in Houston, TX a daughter of the late Robert Loomis and Mildred Agnes Joiner Loomis Acord. She was a CNA, a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Life Church in Monticello and the widow of Willard Sam Carter whom she married March 10, 1979 and he died March 12th, 2014. She is also preceded in death by a brother Mike Loomis and sisters Evelyn Wardlaw and Phyllis Acord Woolford.
Survivors include her son Steven Woolford and spouse Tiffany, Conroe, TX. 2 daughters Pam Carter, Wilmar, AR and Tracy Daniel and spouse Ben, Wilmar, AR. 3 brothers Bob Loomis, Wilmar, AR, James Loomis, Houston, TX, and Donald Acord, Deer Park, TX. A sister Deborah Scroggins, Monticello, AR. 5 grandchildren Kristen Daniel, Chris Woolford, Jordan Woolford, Gavin Daniel and Lori Carter.
Funeral services were 2:00PM Sunday, April 10th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Kelly Doggett Word officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Dewayne Harton, Jim Adams, Billy Hays, Mancy Daniel, Ben Daniel and Richard Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Loomis, James Loomis and Donald Acord.
