Margaret Louise Neal Green

Margaret Louise Neal Green, 96, of Little Rock, formerly of Johnsville, died Monday, October 26, 2015 at Brookside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Little Rock.

Born March 4, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Birdie Neal.

She was a member of Palestine AME Church in Johnsville, serving as Sunday School teacher, on the Stewardess board and with the local Missionary Society.  She as a member of New Light Chapter No. 71, MW. Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star and PHA Jurisdiction of Arkansas.  She received her education in the Marsden community.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Green and four children, Willie M. Green, Eddie L. Green, James H. Green, and Billie J. Belcher.

Survivors:
Daughters:  Carolyn Anderson (Carroll) of Little Rock, Sherry Smith, Stella Jackson both of Englewood, California, and Janice Mayes (Clyde) of Los Angeles, California.

Sons:  Donny Green (Gladys) and Freddie Green (Stella) all of Little Rock.

Sons-in-law:  Rev. Carroll Anderson and Clyde Mayes.

24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were October 31 at Palestine AME Church in Johnsville with Rev. Larry Strong officiating and Rev. Carroll Anderson eulogist.  Burial was in Palestine Cemetery by Hammons Funeral Home.
