Lula Mae Phillips Ellis

Lula Mae Phillips Ellis age 68 of Warren, AR died Tuesday, July 14th at the Bradley County Medical Center.  She was born August 7th, 1946 in Lincoln County, AR a daughter of the late Ophra Phillips and Dovie Guess Phillips.  She was a housewife, a homemaker, a member of Grace Cowboy Church and was the Bradley County Democratic Election Commissioner.   She was also preceded in death by two sons, Dale Ellis and Allan Ellis, brothers Herman Wood and Edward Wood.

Survivors include her spouse Ken Ellis whom she married May of 1981 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Two sons Wayne Ellis, Jacksonville, Fla, and  Preston Ellis, Pascagoula, Miss.  A daughter Paula Williams and spouse David, Wilmar, AR.  A sister Louise McClellan and spouse Rev. Joe, Warren, AR. A sister in law Joyce Wood, Hermitage, AR. 10 grandchildren and 8.5 great-grand children.

Funeral service was 2:00pm Friday, July 17th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Tim Saunders and Rev. Chris Barnes officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Saline Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Tim Wood, Jonathan Wood, Ben Wood, Jacob Wood, Todd Wood and Roger Braswell. Honorary pallbearers were Patrick Ellis, Wade Barnard, Wayne Wesson, Tim Nichols, John George and Craig Bowden.
