Hoyle Wooldridge


Hoyle Wooldridge, 85 years of age, of Garland, Texas passed away on March 13, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center in Garland, Texas.  Hoyle was born on June 2, 1928 in Bradley County, Arkansas, the eldest child of the late Ersel Wooldridge and Frankie Ashcraft Wooldridge.  Upon completing his education, he worked for a number of years at the Potlatch Lumber Mill as a surveyor before moving out of state.  He worked for LTV in Garland for seventeen (17) years as a wielder and sheet metal fabricator.  After leaving LTV, he worked with several heavy equipment companies in the Dallas area, earning him the reputation as a knowledgeable and reliable employee.  He had for the past 30+ years worked for TKO Equipment Company overseeing purchasing and maintenance of equipment.

Hoyle was a lifetime member of the A&A Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas, Vickery Lodge, in Dallas, attaining the degree of 32 Degree Master Mason.  He later attended the East Fork Lodge No. 650.  During his tenure with the Masonic Lodge he spent hours interviewing families and children, assisting them in obtaining admission to the Texas Crippled Children’s Hospital in Dallas for surgical care.  Over the years he became affiliated with the VFW and Elk’s Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Sidney Wooldridge, and his wife of 50 years, Martha Laverne Castleberry Wooldridge. Hoyle is survived by his daughter, Pamela Wooldridge Montgomery of Cypress, Texas; granddaughters Morgan Montgomery and Madison Montgomery of Cypress, Texas; sister Jaunice Wooldridge Teien (and husband Keith Teien) of Carmel, Indiana; sister-in-law Linda Burks Wooldridge (widow of Sidney Wooldridge), and numerous nieces, nephews.

Hoyle also leaves behind many friends and co-workers who he cherished as family. His extended family through the last years includes Eva Beverley, Susan and Randall Royal, Lori and Ricky Prentice, Brian Beverley, and their families.

Visitation will be held at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren, Arkansas on Tuesday, March 18th from 6 – 8 PM.  Funeral services will also be held at Frazer’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 19th at 2 PM with graveside prayers and burial at Union Cemetery in Rye, Arkansas.

A memorial service will also be conducted on Saturday, March 22nd at the Elk’s Lodge in Mesquite, Texas at 2 PM.   Online guestbook www.frazerfuneralhome
