James Lamb

James Lamb, 100, of Wilmar, died December 25, 2020.  Born March 1, 1920, he was a son of the late Joe and Janie Prosper Lamb.  He enlisted in the U.S.  Army in 1942, serving 3 and a half years.  James was a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmar.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, daughter, eight siblings, two grandsons, three nieces and a nephew.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Tammy (Dewayne), Tony (Shirley), Farrell (Doris), Steven Foster all of Chicago, IL., Glen of San Diego; nieces, Lavone Williams (Johnny), Chicago, IL., Bobbie Jones Webb, Kansas City, MO., Eunice Shorter, Sharon Henderson, Georgia Hammock all of Wilmar; nephews, Joe Jones (Angela), Wilmar, Artis Jones (Brenda) Kansas City, KS., special friend Annette Cole and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service was January 2nd at Wilmar Cemetery in Wilmar with Rev. Andrew Bess officiating and Rev. George H. Barnes Sr. eulogist.  Arrangements were by Hammons Funeral Home.
