Betty Jo Atkins Braswell Green, age 76 of Arkadelphia, AR died Thursday, November 28th, 2019 at home. She was born December 14th 1942 in New Edinburg, AR a daughter of the late Walter Lee “Bunk” Atkins and Mary Hattie Bailey Atkins. She was a housewife, homemaker and a member of Baring Cross Missionary Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death were her spouses Leo Marion Braswell and Blake Wayborn Green, a son Ralph Braswell, daughters Peggy Bryant, Lois McElyea and Carolyn Braswell. Brothers James Atkins and Samuel Hollis Atkins and a sister Beatrice Eula Klines all proceeded her in death.
Surviving are her sons, Jessie Braswell and spouse Carrol, Ward, AR, Roger Braswell and spouse Shirley, Alabama, Joe Marion Braswell and spouse Janet, Arkadelphia, AR, Sammie Braswell and spouse Gina, Tyler, TX. Daughters Louise Mann, Alabama, Patricia Ann Braswell, Arkadelphia, AR, Dorothy Simpson, Arkadelphia, AR and Shirley Eakin and spouse Robert, Arkadelphia, AR. A sister Mary Jane Gorman and spouse James, Warren, AR. 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services were 3:30PM Sunday, December 1st at Frazer’s Chapel with Sammie Braswell and Rev. Ronnie Hardin officiating. Active pallbearers were Jonathan Braswell, Robert Eakin, Randall Weeks, Benjamin Holt, Dale Gorman, Roger Braswell, Roy Gierth, Chris Baldas and Mike Gorman. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Baring Cross Church. Burial was in Outlaw Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
