Larry Vernon Carr, age 79, of Warren, AR died Wednesday, October 23 at his home. He was born February 27, 1940 in Warren, AR, a son of the late Reece Carr and Martha Lasiter Carr. He was a retired saw filer for many years working for Potlatch Lumber Company, Calion Lumber Company, and Anthony Forrest Products. From 1972 until 1976 he was the Moro Bay State Park Superintendent. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Monticello, AR a Free and Accepted Mason. Also preceding him in death was his first wife, Gloria Jean Chambers.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Dye Carr, whom he married December 13th, 1980. Daughters Toni Miller and spouse William, Warren, AR, Tasha Carr, El Dorado, AR, Tammy York and friend Rick Hales, Arkansas City, AR, Paula Carter, Benton, AR. Sons Terry Carter, Sheridan, AR and Kent Carter, Heber Springs, AR. A sister Reecia McGaha and spouse John, McGehee, AR.
