Thrisa "Blanche" Crouch

Thrisa ''Blanche'' Crouch passed away on June 6, 2018, in Searcy, Arkansas on her 86th birthday. She was married for 64 years to her beloved husband the Reverend David D. Crouch.

Born in Marianna, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Leslie and Terah Turner. She graduated Barton High School in 1949 at age sixteen and then the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis in 1952. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Memphis and Jackson, TN; Savannah, GA; Harlingen and Ft Worth, TX; Helena, Pine Bluff, El Dorado, Warren, and Searcy, Arkansas. An answered prayer, she loved her work for Dr. Clark Fincher at the Searcy Medical Center from 1980 until her retirement in 1997.

Blanche was a member of First Baptist Church in Searcy for forty-six years. She was a Christian known for being loving and kind, and serving in the church and community. Family was Blanche's pride and joy.

Blanche is survived by her loving husband Bro. David D. Crouch; four daughters, Janet (Richard) Wentz of Maumelle, AR, Joy (Tim) Freel of Nashville, AR, Karen (Kent) Coulter of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, Amy (Shawn) Durham of Searcy; ten grandchildren Hope Freel (John) Wofford, Zach (Catherine) Durham, Taylor Wentz (John Mark) Burgess, Molly Freel, Austin Durham, Tyler and Meredith Parker, Ellen, Will, and Anna Coulter; a sister Maxine (Wesley) Moore of Panama City, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Terah Turner; three brothers Roy (Jo), James, and Paul Turner; seven sisters Ione (Cecil) Billingsley, Helen Turner, Ruby (Joe) Woosley, Anne (James) Ryals, Lane (Bill) Witt, Florence Turner, and Jane Turner.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, June 8, 10:00 a.m.; the funeral service will be held on June 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. all at First Baptist Church in Searcy. A burial will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in West Helena, Arkansas.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many friends and family who called, sent cards, and brought food; as well as to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Unity Hospital, Summit Hospice, and Dr. Clark Fincher for their wonderful care and support in Blanche's final days. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Searcy or The CALL of Howard County, P. O. Box 1, Nashville, AR 71852.
