Dewey C. Cash age 90, of Rison, AR died Monday, June 26th in Rison, AR. He was born October 20, 1926 in Rison, AR a son of the late Oliver Cash and Dora May Cash. He was retired from Central Maloney in Pine Bluff, was a United States WWII veteran serving in the Army and was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Billie Jean Cash on July 29, 1994 and Loriece Taylor Cash on April 19th, 2009. Sons Jim Cash and Roger Cash, brothers Troy Vallentine, Lowery Vallentine, Orville Vallentine, Ora Vallentine and Ira E. Cash all preceded him in death.
He is survived by a daughter Donna Cash, Rison, AR. A daughter in law Peggy Cash, Rison, AR. A step son Gary Taylor and spouse Teresa, Rye, AR. Step Daughters Joan Wilkerson, and spouse James, Monticello, AR, Annett Erwin and spouse Lyndal, Birmingham, ALA. 4 grandchildren Mark Cash and spouse Heidi, Rison, AR , Roger Dale Cash Jr and spouse Susan , Rison, AR, John Cash and spouse Tracey, Sheridan, AR and Amy Dedman, Hot Springs, AR. 8 great-grandchildren and a very special friend Steve James, Bauxite, AR.
Funeral service was 10:00 AM Saturday, July 1st at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church near Rison with Bro. Shawn Hill, Bro. Jackie Richardson, and Bro. Robert Norris officiating. Arrangements were by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
