Wanda Kristine "Kristie" Cook Harrod

Wanda Kristine ”Kristie” Cook Harrod age 48, of Vilonia, AR formerly of Hermitage, AR died Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at her home.  She was born January 9th, 1969 in White Hall, AR a daughter of the late Glen Willus Cook and Kay Ann Walker Cook.  She was a 1987 graduate of the White Hall Public Schools, attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello where she was a member of the Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority and was a UAM Cheerleader.  She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Hermitage, a homemaker for her husband and five beautiful daughters and her grandson.  She was also preceded in death by a brother Joe W. Cook, Sr.
She is survived by her husband Brent Harrod whom she married May 6th, 1989 in Pine Bluff, AR.  5 daughters Heather Ann Harrod and fiancé Eddie Joe Huff, Harrison, AR, Holly Kristine Harrod, Savannah, GA, Sidney Hope Harrod, West Little Rock, AR, Halleigh Morgan Harrod, Vilonia, AR and Haven Brentley Harrod, Vilonia, AR.  A grandson Gunner Paul Huff, Harrison, AR. A brother Gordon K. Cook of San Antonio, TX. A father in law and mother in law, John and Glenda Harrod, Godfrey Landing, AR. A host of nieces and nephews from both the Cook family and Harrod family.

Funeral service was 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 24th at Frazer’s Chapel with Elder Joe Evans officiating. Active pallbearers were Gordon Cook, Josh Cook, Greg Hyatt, Steele Hamilton, Joe Cook, Jr., Don Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers were Rusty Leopard, L.D. Billing, Wade Hall, Danny Funderburg, Jeff Works, Trey Daniel, Bruce Williams, Rusty Leopard, Bud Disonie, Hugo Gonzalas. Burial in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
