Lillian Marie Rainey Colvin

Lillian Marie Rainey Colvin, 93, of Warren, AR, went to her heavenly home Sunday morning, February 12, 2017. She was born March 5, 1923, in Vick, AR, to the late Samuel and Myrtle Martin Rainey. She married the love of her live, Hansel Colvin on January 1, 1939. They celebrated 64 years of marriage before laying him to rest on September 10, 2003. As a young child, Lillian dedicated her life to Jesus. She gave us a wonderful example of living with faith, discipline, courage, and love. She was a charter member of Lighthouse Church and a founding member of Church Unlimited. She served the Lord faithfully in any capacity that was open to her. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening and being a homemaker. She was always thrilled when someone dropped by to visit with her.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Beverly Colvin Dowda and husband, Joe, who gave her loving care for the last 11 years of her life and daughter-in-love-Annette Colvin. Grandchildren Veronica Powers (Kevin), Vernon Colvin II (Pam), Christy Corker (Scott), Joshua Dowda (Tasha), Jill Corogenes (Clark). 17 great-grandchildren, 2 Great-great-grandchlidren, other relatives, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her loving husband Hansel Colvin; sons, Tyrone Colvin, Rev. Vernon Colvin, and daughter Tiny Sue Colvin; sisters Dorothy Rainey Boney (Virgil), Idell Rainey Huitt ( Allen), Verna Lee Rainey Douglass ( Sam Bob); brother Robert Rainey (Lois).

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15th , 6-8 P.M. at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M.; Thursday, February 16th in Frazer’s Chapel with Pastor Kevin Powers and Rev.
