Barnard Chesley Smith, age 78, of Warren, AR, died Wednesday, December 7, at Bradley County Medical Center. Born June 16, 1938 in Bradley County, AR, a son of the late Ben Smith and Gennie Rodgers Smith he was a retired forester, a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and attended Wagnon Methodist Church.
Survivors are his wife Sharon Jarvis Smith whom he married August 12, 1988. One son Dan Smith of Little Rock, AR. One daughter Becky Burns of Searcy, AR. Two step sons Greg Johnson and spouse Wendy of Cave City, AR, and Chris Johnson and spouse Cindy of Chesapeake, VA. One brother Benny Gene Smith and spouse Betty of Crossett, AR. One sister Marilyn Ashcraft and spouse T.C. of Warren, AR. Five grandchildren and Three great-grandchildren.
