Marti Munford Hogue age 55, of Strong, AR died Wednesday, February 10th at her home. She was born February 14th, 1960 in Carlsbad, NM a daughter of Jimmy and Beth Munford, Strong, AR. Marti was a 20 plus year Register Nurse working for Home Care Services. She was instrumental in the start up and development of the John R. Williamson Hospice House as House Coordinator in Eldorado. AR. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Strong, AR and she achieved her Nursing Degree from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, AR. Marti loved being apart of the Strong High School as a school nurse also.
Surviving other than her parents is her husband Randy Hogue, whom she married Sept. 14th, 1979 in Strong, AR. A son Daniel Hogue, Strong, AR. A daughter Lucy Hogue Osgood, Strong, AR. A sister Merri Holt and spouse Kevin, Eldorado, AR. 4 grandchildren Erin Osgood, Michael Osgood, Joshua Ezell and Colton Osgood. 3 nieces Julie Osgood, Dawn Taylor and Baylee Holt. 2 nephews Preston Webb and Kyle Holt. A great-niece and a great-nephew.
Funeral service was 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13th, at the First Baptist Church of Strong with Rev. Scotty Guillot officiating. Music was by Leasha Smith and Lisa Bell. Burial was in New London Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Tad Dugal, Alan Gantz, Tony Maza, Preston Webb, Dwayne Dugal, Gary Meshell, Michael Gunter and Luther Allgood. Honorary pallbearer was Bill Floyd. Memorials preferred to Cancer Foundation League of Louisiana; 411 Calypso; Monroe, LA 71201.
