Marnette Vickers Wright age 87 of Ingalls, AR died Friday May 29th at Star City, AR. She was born July 7th, 1927 in Ingalls, AR a daughter of the late Andrew Jack Vickers and Carrie Quimby Vickers. She was a retired Hermitage Public School Cafeteria Supervisor for 15 years and a member of Eagle Lake Crossroads Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bernard “Pete” Wright whom she married January 24th 1947 in Hermitage, AR, a son Bernard Wright, Jr., brothers Sherrell Vickers, Andy Roe Vickers and Ted Vickers, sisters Jean Belin and Ila Payne.
Survivors include 2 sons, Donnie Wright and spouse Janice, Monticello , AR and Bernie Wright and spouse Juliet, Bentonville, AR. A daughter Faye Ozment and spouse Jerry, Crossett, AR. 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was 2:00pm Monday, June 1st at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Mike Griffith and Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Marty Lee Wardlaw, Dan Vickers, Marty Wardlaw, Bobby Vickers, Mark Vickers, Ronnie Lanier and Craig Wardlaw.
