Patricia Ann Rowell Tucker


Patricia Ann Rowell Tucker, age 84 of Warren, Arkansas died Saturday, January 24th 2015 in Chapel Woods Nursing Center.  She was born September 21st, 1930 in Warren to Wilburn Leon Rowell and Doris Evora Herring Rowell.  She attended Biola College in Los Angeles California and Dallas Bible College in Dallas, Texas.  She worked as a executive secretary in Dallas where she met and married her husband, Carl ”Mickey” Tucker who proceeded her in death in 2003.

Mrs. Tucker was the primary cofounder of the Bradley County Genealogical Society and was editor of the nationally acclaimed Bradley County roots quarterly in which she reproduced old court records.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice Tucker Rogers of Garland, Texas, Suzanne Tucker of Warren, Arkansas and a son Michael Clayton Tucker of Grand Prairie, Texas. She was preceded by a son, Larry Leon Tucker in 2007.  She has a surviving brother Wilburn “Rusty” Rowell, married to Marilyn Rowell of Warren, and a surviving sister, Barbara Mitchell of Warren, Arkansas.  She has two grandchildren, John Jeremy Rogers of Odessa, Texas and Jenny Marie Rogers of Richardson, Texas. She also has two great-granddaughters, Isabella Marie Posselt and Alexandria “Coco” Ryan Posselt of Richardson, Texas.

Funeral services were 1:30PM Wednesday, January 28th  at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wallace Ferguson officiating. Musicians were Linda Barrett, Randall Herring and Ruby Lephiew. Burial was in Parker-Prospect Cemetery. Active pallbearers were John Rogers, Dr. Joe H. Wharton, Stewart Rowell, Jeremy Rogers, Jerry West, Aaron Rowell, Clay Tucker and Jacob Rowell. Honorary pallbearers were Charles O’Neal, Wilburn “Skip” Rowell, Rocky Murphy, Roger Murphy, Justin Hall, Aaron Wood and Weston Wood.
