Maurice Gavin of Rye, AR died Saturday November 16th 2019 at his home. He was born May 18th, 1926 in Bradley County, a son of the late Thomas Gavin and Alma Wooldridge Gavin. He served in the Second World War and was a carpenter by trade, he loved to farm as well.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Juanita Foreman Gavin whom he married November 25th, 1946. Three sons, Randy Gavin, Dennis Gavin, and Floyd Gavin. One daughter, Cathy Gavin Phillips, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:30 Tuesday, November 19th at Union Cemetery at Rye, AR with Rev. Brian Ashcraft officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery at Rye, AR. Visitation 30 minutes before the service at Union Cemetery. Online guestbook www.frazerfuneralhome.com
