Lewie Hendrix "Bonnie" Jennings


Lewie Hendrix “Bonnie” Jennings, age 93, of Warren, AR passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Chapel Woods Nursing Home in Warren. He was born July 15, 1926 in Gravelly, AR to the late Roy Jennings and Lena Ferry Jennings. Lewie was retired, but held many jobs, primarily being a mechanic, Emergency Medical Technician and Potlatch Security Guard. He served in the US Army as a Radio Operator. He received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan. Lewie loved his family, was a lifetime member of Prospect Hunting Club, loved to hunt and fish and loved to talk. Lewie was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Evelyn Kinard Jennings. Surviving are his children, Harriet Simkins (Bill) of Warren, Bonnie Jean Wood (John) of White Hall and Mark Jennings (Dena) of Warren, 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Bro. Ronnie Allen of Warren will be officiating.

Special speaker will be Shaun Raney.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at Frazer’s Active pallbearers are Jared Wagnon, John Simkins, Barrett Simkins, Adam Simkins, Mark Jennings and Adam Jennings.
