Willie Jordan Young

Willie Jordan Young, age 83, of Rye, AR, died Friday, December 14, at Baptist Springhill in North Little Rock, AR. He was born June 5, 1935, in Rye, AR, a son of the late James Samuel “Jim” Young and Willie Hazel Ashcraft Young. Willie Jordan was a retired T.V. repairman, a poultry grower, and a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death was a daughter Melanie Ann Young; brothers, Floyd Dale Young, Henry Eugene Young, James Owen Young, Clay Maxwell Young, Aubrey Young, J. Murray Young; sisters Katie Sue Reep and Mary Elizabeth Adams.
Survivors are his wife Martha Ross Young whom he married August 9, 1957. Two sons Terry Young and spouse Vanessa of Rye, AR, Anthony Young and spouse Tammy of Cunningham, TN. Five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 16, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Jerry Carter and Rev. Charles Woolley officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and soloist was Heather Baker. Burial was in Union Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Steve Dooly, Jody Almand, Ken Young, Bill Young, Kenny Beaty, Mike Phillips, Mike McCormac, and Dewayne Wright. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Kerry Pennington, James Frisby, David Frisby, Michael Frisby, Dr. Brad Biggers, and Tim Vines.
