Cynthia Frances Baker

Cynthia Frances Baker, 59, of Fort Worth, TX, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018.

Cynthia Frances Baker was born Dec. 10, 1958, to Pauline and Alfred Ozment in Warren, Ar. She was valedictorian of Hermitage High School in 1977 and graduated with honors from University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1981. She taught at McGehee High School in Ar. from 1981 until 1984. Cindy married Daniel Kerwin Baker on July 21, 1984. They lived in Carthage, Texas and Tyler, Texas before settling in Fort Worth in 1986. Cindy was a stay-at-home mom until returning to teach in 2003. During her stay at home, she was always the room mom, Girl Scout leader and childrens church leader. Cindy taught at Joshua High School until her passing.

Cynthia enjoyed teaching math, especially geometry. When not working on school, she enjoyed cross-stitching, knitting, shopping, Hallmark movies and her cat, but Cindys primary passion was her children. She never missed one of her childrens activities or events. She always gave her time to children, first to her own, to her students and then children at church. Her relationship with God through Jesus was evident in everything she did. Cindy was passionate that her children were raised in church, encouraging them to have a relationship with Jesus at an early age.

In 2002, Cindy was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fought through the chemotherapy and radiation, and maintained her sweet spirit and devotion to her family. She was cancer free for 16 years. Cynthia was diagnosed with lymphoma in February 2018 and without complaining, endured the chemotherapy treatments and hospital stays until she passed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Ozment
