Tommie Jean Edwards, 75, of Warren, died Monday, August 6, 2018 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. Born February 11, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Thomas III and Erma Strong Childs.
Tommie grew up in the Banks community and graduated from Westside High School in Hermitage. She was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Warren for over 40 years and a former member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Banks.
Tommie loved life, her family and to work. She was employed at the Bradley County Medical Center for 36 years before retiring. After retiring, she continued to serve others by working Home Health, Private Care and as an aide at Chapel Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center until her health failed.

Her husband of 49 years – Roy Edwards Jr. of Warren
Son – Brian T. Edwards (Ashley) of Little Rock
Sister – Annie Davis (Zettie) of Banks
Special nieces – Felecia Childs (Claudie) of Warren and Theresia Daniels (Bruce) of Springdale
13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 12 noon on Friday at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Warren with Rev. Henry D. Cox officiating. Burial will be in Childs Cemetery in Banks with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home of Warren.
