Jerry Wayne Johnson age 81, of Warren, AR died Thursday, August 16th, 2018 at the Chapel Woods Nursing Home. He was born March 31st, 1937 in Marsden, AR, a son of the late Marvin T. Johnson and Glendolin Orr Johnson. He was retired from Potlatch Lumber Company with 36 years of service, serving from 1963 to 1999, he also was a member of the Arkansas National Guard with 38 years of continued service serving from 1955 to 1993. Jerry was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Warren, he loved his hobbies, which included hunting, fishing, watching football and history. He worked in his yard keeping it manicured and taking care of his black cat, “Blackie”. Jerry was very proud he was a lung cancer survivor! He was also preceded in death by his brother Billy Max Johnson and a sister Annie Dell Adair.
He is survived by his wife Jacqualin McDougald Johnson, whom he married March 23rd , 1957 in Warren, AR. 3 daughters Kathy Lynn Lister, Huntington, WV, Jerri Gale Harrelson and spouse Steve, New Edinburg, AR, and Ramona Carol Webb and spouse Jody, Paragould, AR. 7 grandchildren Michael Lister and spouse Chrissy, Patrick Harrelson, Rachel Turner and spouse Michael, Daniel Harrelson and spouse Paula Jo, Heather Harrelson, Samuel Moix and Madeline Moix. 4 great-grandchildren Cadence, Camden, David and Danica Harrelson.
Funeral services were 3:00PM Sunday, August 19th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Gravelridge Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active Pallbearers were Michael Lister, Patrick Harrelson, Sam Moix, Camden Harrelson, David Harrelson and Max Johnson.
