Kathryn White Garner

Kathryn White Garner, age 90, of Plano, Texas passed away July 26, 2018.  She was born September 2, 1927 in Warren, Arkansas. She was the eldest child of James E. and Sallie L. White. Kathryn was a long-time resident of the Dallas, Texas area where she and Glenn Garner raised their two children. Those who knew Kathryn loved her fiery spirit and will greatly miss her fierce love. In her retirement, Kathryn became a Master Gardener and found a love for painting. Kathryn will be remembered an incredibly loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who would do just about anything for her family. Kathryn is survived by her children, Steven Garner of Plano and Gail and Jim Marlatt of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Stacey and Shawn King of Plano, Paul and Jennifer Garner of Fort Worth, Victoria and Avram Carter of The Colony, and Emily Marlatt of Chicago; brother James White of Dermott; Patricia Landers of North Little Rock, Joyce Hall of Sherwood, Mary Morton of Morrilton; and great-grandchildren Logan and Levi Garner. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents James and Sallie, sisters Martha Murray and Sue Golsby, brother Gene White, and her ex-husband Glendon Garner. Funeral service was 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, at Willoughby Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Stripling officiating. Burial was in Willoughby Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
