Hiro K. Norris

Hiro K. Norris, known as “Mickey”, of Warren, AR, age 91, died June 10 at her home surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Hikuchi and Tomino Kobayashi of Japan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl R. Norris whom she married in Japan on December 24, 1946; a son Thomas Elmer Norris, a granddaughter Marti Marie Norris, and a grandson Christopher Robert Norris.

She is survived by her children: Ann Orleanski of Warren; Erva Sharp of Warren; Nick Norris and spouse Sherry of Plano, TX; Steve Norris of Warren; and Renee Richard and spouse Randy of West Monroe, LA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In the past Mickey worked at Wilson Oak Flooring and Jack Winter’s. She was a skilled seamstress, designed and made both clothing, home draperies and upholstery. She was an excellent cook. She loved fishing, playing cards and dominoes with family and friends. She was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Most of all, Mickey was a devoted wife and mother.

Funeral service was 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13 at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Michael Sharp, David McCullars, Cameron Norris, Jonathan Guice, Gene Turpin, Matthew Norris, and Scott Steadman. Online guestbook www.frazerfuneralhome.com
