Audrey W. Harris, age 81, of Warren, AR died Wednesday, February 7th at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was born July 10th, 1936 in Drew County, AR a daughter of the late Lem William Carpenter and Kate Rowe Carpenter. She was owner and operator of Harris Grocery Store, and a member of the Wilmar Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Jennings Harris, whom she married July 16th, 1955 in Greenville, MS, her brothers, Jessie Carpenter and Floyd Carpenter, and her sisters, Betty Griffin and Vivian Harris also proceeded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Bruce Harris and spouse Shelia, Monticello, AR, a brother, Lloyd “Flat Top” Carpenter, Monticello, AR. 2 sisters, Patricia Smith, Monticello, AR, Dorothy Carter, Crossett, AR. 2 grandchildren, Amanda Harris and Jacky Gayton of Warren, AR and April Harris of Warren, AR. She was also expecting her first greatgrandchild which she loved and her special friend, Linda Thompson, Warren, AR. A sister in law Martha Ketzcher, North Little Rock, AR.
Funeral service was 3:30PM Monday, February 12th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Mark Harris and Rev. Kenny Worbington officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and Linda Thompson was soloist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Ricky Grant, Mancy Daniel, Danny Glober, Kennon Harris, Jonathan Harris, and Steve Faulkner.
