Bertha Lee Jackson


Bertha Lee Jackson, 71, of Warren, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at her home.

Born December 25, 1945, she was a daughter  of the late James and Ester Mae Jackson.

She was a member of St. James AME Church in Warren.  She attended Bradley County High School, was a former employee of the Townhouse restaurant and Jack Winters Sewing Factory.

She was also preceded in death by husband, one brother, three sisters, one grandchild, and a great grandchild.

Survivors:
Her children-Willie Jackson, Marlon Jackson (Shelia), Christa English (Charles Jr.) all of Warren and Marvin Jackson of Pine Bluff.
Siblings-Kristine Alexander of Altadena, CA., James Jackson (Ellen) of Warren and Christopher Covington (Danielle of Pine Bluff.
Grandchildren-Trynesha Jackson, La'Bertha English, Tasia Jackson, Charles (Trey) English III, Ontario Moseley, Garrick Jackson, Tony M. Jackson, Javoline Jackson, James Jackson, Jaleel Jackson, Swansea Dixon, Brittney English, Whitney English
Grandchildren whose she raised as her own-Mashika Jackson and Landon Jackson
Special people-Shirley Miller, Kali Wagnon and Mahogany Lewis
4 nieces, 11 nephews, 23 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were August 26 at St. James AME Church in Warren with Presiding Elder James R. Hooper officiating and Presiding Elder Kent J. Broughton eulogist.  Burial was in Union Cemetery with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home of Warren.
