Alice Thornton Rook

Alice Thornton Rook age 76, of Warren, AR died Friday, September 1st, at Belle View Estates in Monticello, AR.  She was born June 4th, 1941 in Bradley County AR, daughter of the late Wilburn Thornton, Sr. and Audra Beard Thornton. She was retired from UAM in Monticello, she worked for Drew Foam and for many years worked for Crow-Whaley Clinic in Warren.   She was a graduate of Warren Public Schools and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.   Also preceding her in death were brothers Dave Thornton and Paul Thornton.

She is survived by a son, Tim Rook and spouse Jeannie, Warren, AR. Brothers Wilburn Thornton, Jr., Bob Thornton, Jimmy Thornton, Marty Thornton all of Warren, AR.  Sisters Betty Lou Broome and Mary Measel both of Warren, AR and Ruth Thayer of Austin, AR.  2 grandchildren Rebecca Rook and Dylan Rook both of Warren, AR.

Graveside service was 2:00 PM Thursday, September 7th at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. David Richey and Rev. Matt Overall officiating.
