Betty A. Tate

Betty A. Tate age 85, of Warren, AR died Friday, March 3rd at the Chapel Woods Nursing Center.  She was born July 1st, 1931 in Warren, AR a daughter of the late Buster Wiggins and Grace Ruth Kight Wiggins.  She was a housewife, a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marshall Wayne Sullivan, her second husband, Mack Forrest and a son Milton Dwayne Forrest. Betty loved to support the Warren Senior Center, where she was dedicated and active in volunteering. She spent many hours over the years visiting people in the nursing home where she gave of her time freely.

Survivors include her husband Rupert Tate whom she married April 21st, 1996.  A daughter Judy Sullivan Houston and spouse Roger, Rock Springs, AR. A brother Jimmy Wiggins, Warren, AR. A sister Patsy Weeks, Warren, AR.  3 grandchildren Christopher Mack Lovett, Angela Grace Edge and Desiree Leann McCowen.  6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was 10:00 AM, Monday, March 6th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Michael Stroh officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial was in Adams Singer Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Randy Wiggins, Jason McCowen, Roger Houston, Marshall Sullivan, Jason Wiggins, Jim Wiggins, Jr., Christopher Lovett, and Scott Edge.
