Randall D. "Randy" King

Randall D. “Randy” King, age 54, of Selma, passed away Saturday November, 6, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 10, 1962 in Monticello, Arkansas. He is the son of Ira Laron King Sr., and the late Mary Elizabeth Vance Barnett. Randy was a private contractor for 35 plus years for all of south Arkansas. Randy was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello, President of Selma Hunting Club, and coached girl’s peewee basketball for many years and Lieutenant of the Selma Fire Department.  Randy was well known for his avid hunting and fishing habits, for he has traveled all over the world to hunt all different types of game. His most passionate hunting of all was turkey and deer hunting on their lease in Kansas, along with spending time with his family and grandchildren at the family deer camp in Selma, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Vance Barnett, brother, Ira Laron “Ronnie” King.

Survivors are his wife of 29 years, Norma Snow King of Selma; three sons, Cody King and wife, Courtney of Selma, Matthew Ferguson and wife, Ashley of Rogers, Arkansas, Skyler King and wife, Karel of Lake Village; 2 daughters, Kassie King Walker and husband, Casey of Monticello, Dana Barrett of Warren, Arkansas; parents, Ira Laron King and wife, Janie of Selma, and Dewey Barnett of Cominto; three brothers, Terry King of Enon, Johnny Young of Big Lake, MN, and Terry Young of Star City; three sisters, Belinda King Ferrell of McGehee, Shelia Ratledge of Owasso, OK, and Teresa Fourroux of Sugar Land, TX, 11 grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. David Jacks, Bro. Zane Pierce and Bro. Phillip Payne Officiating. Burial will follow in Tillar Cemetery in Tillar Arkansas. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas. Sign online guest book at www.bishopkingfuneralhome.com
In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in memory of Randy King.
