Edna Maxine Turner Howard

Edna Maxine Turner Howard, age 93, of Hot Springs, AR, (formerly of Warren, AR), died Wednesday, November 2, at Quapaw Care & Rehabilitation. Born October 31, 1923, in Bradley County, AR, a daughter of the late Hiram G. Turner and Mattie Mae Guest Turner she was retired from Jack Winter and West Department Store. Mrs. Howard was a charter member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of Ray Howard who died November 8, 2001. They were united in marriage June 13, 1942. Also preceding her in death were infant twin daughters, brothers Thomas Turner, Gaston Turner, half brothers Don Huffman, Ira Huffman and a sister Mary Ruth Wear.

Survivors are two sons Rev. Bill Ray Howard and spouse Betty of El Dorado, AR, David Roy Howard and spouse Kristin of Junction City, AR. One daughter Barbara Brader and spouse Don of Hot Springs, AR. Twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at Frazer Funeral Home in Warren. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery near New Edinburg, AR, by Frazer’s.
