Ollie Thompson Moring

The beautiful long life of Ollie Thompson Moring, 86, came to a close at the Chapel Woods Nursing Facility in Warren, Ar on September 29, 2016. She was born in New Edinburg, Ar on August 13, 1930 the younger daughter of Benjamin and Maggie McClellan Thompson. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a proud grand and great grandmother, loving each new addition to the family as they arrived. She was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church. She loved to cook for her family and was happiest when they were seated around her table. She was an avid reader, an outstanding seamstress making clothes for her children and grandchildren with love. She loved children, as proved by the number of children that she cared for, claiming them as her very own.
She is survived by her loving husband, Herbert, married just shy of 64 years, whom she met in church where his father was preaching. They married on October 18, 1952 in front of the old house place. They had one daughter, Phyllis Stedman (Wayne) of Warren, and two sons Gilbert (Cheryl) and Delbert (Judy) both of New Edinburg. She had 9 grandchildren: Matt Cathey, Michelle Weaver, Nicole Harper, Stacey Turner, Daniel Dees, Dakotah Moring, Devlyn Moring, Hanna Moring, A.J. Moring, and 14 great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Dylan, Kade, Jay, Colby, Gauge, Hayden, Alli, Brennen, Kylee, Kinlee, Maddox, Brooks, and Madeline.
She is also survived by three brothers Buddy Clyde Thompson of Warren, Victor Thompson of Pine Buff and Bob Thompson of Sheridan and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents,  Thompson brothers- Herman, Lester, Sherman, Leroy, Vernon, Clarence, Wilbert, Myzell, C.B. and one sister, Lydia Barker.
Visitation will be Saturday,  October 1 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren. Services will be 2:00, Sunday October 2 at the Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church in New Edinburg. Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery.
