Onnie Estelle Sloan White

Onnie Estelle Sloan White, age 98, of Warren, AR, died Friday, June 24, at Chapel Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation in Warren, AR. Born February 16, 1918 in Calhoun County, AR, a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Sloan and Sue Haynes Sloan, she was a homemaker, a Baptist and attended Willoughby Freewill Baptist Church. She was the widow of Curtis Gordon White, Sr. who died September 15, 1995. They were united in marriage October 15, 1940. 

Survivors are one son Jerry White of Sherman, TX. Three daughters Lucy McWilliams and Carol Grassi both of Warren, AR, and Becky Harwell of North Little Rock, AR. One half brother Michael Sloan of Warren, AR. One half sister Ara Nora Chavis of Little Rock, AR. Ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchild. Also preceding her in death was a son Gordon White.

Funeral service was 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, at Willoughby Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Wayman Mann and Rev. Victor Hunter officiating. Music was by Cindy Miller, Bob Haygood, Gary Haygood, Tim West and Jerry West. Burial was in Willoughby Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Jerry Wayne White, Jr., Chris White, Martin Potter, Chad Sledge, Kirt Sledge and Hunter Johnson.
