Myrtle G. Tillman

Myrtle G. Tillman age 73, of Warren, AR. peacefully joined her eternal family on Tuesday, April 26th at her home.  She was born May 27th, 1942 in Blue Springs near Banks, AR a daughter of the late John T. Gardner and Quinnie Thomason Gardner.  She was retired from Wal-Mart with 23 years of service, she worked for A.V.A Vending for 18 years and also Jack Winters in Warren, AR.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and a graduate of the Banks Public School system.  She was preceded in death by her husband John E. Tillman whom she married September 7th, 1960 and he passed away October of 2011 with 51 years of marriage. Also preceding her were her brothers Bill Gardner, Bryan Gardner and Jim Gardner. Sisters Ruby Tully, Ola Jean Hlavarty and Polly Gardner.

She is survived by a son Herschel Tillman and spouse Kim, Warren, AR.  3 daughters Donna Wilson and spouse Mark, Rogers, AR, Julie Hamilton and spouse Kenny, and Carol Sellers and spouse Robert all of Warren, AR.   A sister Florence Dickens, Benton, AR.  11 grandchildren Chad Wilson, Jennifer Grimes, Clay Wilson, Chasity Hamilton, Courtney Hamilton, Codi Temple, James Jones, Jessica Jester, Carrie Smith, Ginnie Sellers and John David Tillman.  7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was 10:00AM Saturday,  April 30th at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jim Bales and Rev. Michael Gardner officiating. Organist was Shirley Outlaw and soloist was Gina Hemphill. Burial was in McFarland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were James Wright, Anthony Gardner, Marty Lee Wardlaw, Ben Wood, James Robert Gardner and Gary Green. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Joe H. Wharton, Clay Wilson, Chad Wilson, James Jones, John David Tillman, Brian Smith, Brian Temple and Dusty Jester.
