Jamison (Jamie) Loretta Nelson

Jamison (Jamie) Loretta Nelson, entered this world on April 2, 1956.  She went home on March 29, 2016.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. James Hammons and Ms. Etherlene Nelson.

She attended the Wilmar Public Schools, and upon graduation she attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello where she obtained a nursing degree.  She worked as an RN, she gained employment with the Pine Lodge Nursing Facility, and later with the Arkansas Department of Health as a Home Health Nurse.  She was employed with the Department of Health for twenty-eight years.

Jamie was a lifelong member of St. Jams African methodist Episcopal Church in Wilmar.  She was a Class Leader, choir member, Superintendent of Church School, and Steward.  In 2015, she announced God's calling and became a Licnsed Evangelist.  She was a gifted speaker, a dedicated Evangelist, and most of all a dedicated, hard-working child of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grandmother Mrs. Annie Jackson, brother Andrew Cooper, and stepfather Porter McCray.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  three brothers-Donnel (Viola) Cooper, Wilmar, AR; Phil Nelson, Dallas, TX; Michael Nelson, Warren, AR.; two sisters-Dorothy Cooper and Bessie Walton both of Warren; a very special niece Rev. Debra Cooper of Warren; A very special friend Mrs. Evora Johnson and a very special and dedicated cousin Mr. L. W. Webb both of Wilmar, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
