Virgil T. Thurman Jr. age 92 of Warren, AR died Thursday, January 28th at Chapel Woods Nursing Home. He was born October 26th 1923 in Kingsland, AR a son of the late Virgil Thurman and Elma Saelor Thurman. He was a retired millwright for Barnes Brothers in Hamburg and Georgia Pacific in Crossett, AR. He was a United States Army Veteran and attended the Kingdom Hall in Warren, AR. Also preceding him in death was his wife Lena Louise Thurman and sisters Ellene Huffman and Pauline Durham.
Survivors include son Marty Forrest and a daughter in law Christina, Warren, AR. A daughter Carolyn Jacobs, Crossett, AR. 2 grandchildren William Forrest and April Peek and a great-grandchild Collin Peek.
Graveside service was 1:30 PM Saturday, January 30th at Union Hill Cemetery with Josh Nichols officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were William Forrest, Christopher Peek, Chad McGaughlin, Bart Nichols, Brent Nichols and Matt Webb.
