Edith Mae Barnes Pipes

Edith Mae Barnes Pipes, age 78, of Warren, AR, died Thursday February 4, at Ouachita Medical Center in Camden, AR. Born May 27, 1937, in Wilmar, AR, a daughter of the late James W. Barnes and Lottie Mae Boston Barnes, she was a retired beautician, member of Southside Baptist Church and the widow of Travis “Cowboy” Pipes who died February 1, 2001. They were united in marriage February 8, 1958.

Survivors are one son Steven Pipes (Vicky), Memphis, TN. One daughter Janet Kelley (Randy), Locust Bayou, AR. One brother Jim Barnes of Canada. Three grandchildren Kristen Pipes Smith (Brad), Collins, MS, Jamie Pipes, Jackson, MS, Keith Kelley, Locust Bayou, AR. Four great-grandchildren Madison Smith, Drew Smith, Anna Claire Smith all of Collins, MS and Genesis Pipes, Hattiesburg, MS.

Funeral service was 1:30 p.m. Sunday February 7, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. David Williams and Rev. Eddie Raines officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Brad Smith. Burial was in Parker Prospect Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Roy Harper, Jeremy McDougald, Tim Rook Ledrew Smith, Billy Ethridge, Billy Biggs, Cliff Rodgers and Hal Turner. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Lewis, Harvey Helton, Greg Harton, Bro. Troy Harris and Dr. Kerry Pennington.
