Betty J. Brown

Betty J. Brown age 77 of Warren went to be in the presence of our lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 27th at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock AR. She was born June 20, 1938 in Eastland, TX and is the daughter of the late L.W. Hurst and Nava Dean Hurst of Odessa TX.  Also preceding her in death was a brother Jimmy Carl Hurst. She received her education in the Odessa, TX school system where she graduated 3rd in her class out of 500 students. She went on to work with Bell Telephone then became a beautician and started her own business Betty's Beauty Shop in 1983. Survivors include her husband Lonnie Brown of Warren AR, one sister Shirley Dean Richards and spouse John of Odessa, TX. Two sons Drew Trucks and Spouse Mary of Fayetteville, AR. and Matthew Trucks and spouse Julie, of Warren and a daughter Jeanna Trucks Poniwaz of Russellville, AR. Three grandchildren Nathan A. Trucks of New York, NY. Alexandria Poniwaz of Monticello, and Cassidy Trucks of Warren, and one great-grandchild Rhiannon Poniwaz of Russellville, AR. Funeral service was Sunday, January 31st at 1:30 at Frazer's Chapel  Rev. Jerry Carter and Rev. Charles Wooley officiating of Central Missionary Baptist Church of Warren. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery By Frazer’s Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Nathan Trucks, Scott Taylor, Larry Burns, David Grider, Michael Burns, and Shannon Taylor.
