Martha Ann Atkins Gardner

Martha Ann Atkins Gardner age 85 of Banks, AR died Saturday, November 21st at St. Andrews Place in Conway, AR.  She was born November 13th, 1930 in Tinsman, AR, a daughter of the late Carl C. Atkins and Clemmie Reddin Atkins.  Mrs. Gardner was a retired seamstress supervisor with LaDonna’s Sports Ware and a Baptist.  She treasured her family and enjoyed her hobbies of jewelry making, gardening and bird watching.  She loved working on jigsaw puzzles, playing board games and watching westerns.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Earl Griffin Gardner whom she married May 20th, 1947 and he died Nov. 18th, 2001. Brothers Vernon Atkins, Billy Atkins and Donnie Atkins also preceded her in death.

Survivors include 2 sons, Marvin Gardner and spouse Diane, San Antonio, TX, Gary Gardner and spouse Rhonda, Conway, AR. A daughter Mary Garrison and spouse Randall, Vilonia, AR.  A brother James Atkins and spouse Jean, Little Rock, AR.  4 grandchildren Brian Garrison, Kim Luck, Betsy Gardner and Desiree’ Barton.  9 great-grandchildren.
