John Morris McGregor

Mr. John Morris McGregor, resident of Roanoke, Virginia and former resident of Cotton Plant, Arkansas, died Monday, August 10, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on September 5, 2015 at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in McCrory, Arkansas with interment in the Cotton Plant Cemetery.

John was born In McCrory, Arkansas on February 27, 1939 to Roy Cooper and Minnie Morris McGregor who preceded him in death. He was a football coach as he put it "too many years" on the high school, college and professional levels, both in the United States and abroad.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Leesa Dalton McGregor, daughters Deborah McGregor Good and husband Jeff of Jackson, Mississippi and Amanda McGregor Jennings and husband Mark of Mocksville, North Carolina, five grandchildren, Alexandra McGregor Good, Caroline Ellis Good, Eavan Gray Jennings, Liam McGregor Jennings and Lachlan Grace Jennings. John was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Sally McGregor Davis and one daughter, Catharine Jane McGregor.

In Lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations be sent to the Cotton Plant Cemetery Association, c/o Sue Reeves, 185 South Third Street, Cotton Plant, Arkansas, 72036.
