Lee Roy Broughton, 83, of New Edinburg, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Bradley County Medical Center.
Born November 11, 1931, he was a son of the late Roy and Clemmie Clary Broughton.
He was a member of Sweet Union COGIC in New Edinburg, where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of Prince Hall Masons and a retiree of Potlatch Corporation.

His children: Pattie Johnson (Earnest), Ab Broughton all of New Edinburg, Barbara Johnson of Little Rock, Roy Lee Broughton of Fordyce, Rev. Kent J. Broughton I (Rossia) of Pine Bluff and Bobby Dean Johnson of Warren.
Brother: Dewey Lee Broughton of New Edinburg
12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 11, at 1:00 a.m. at St. James AME Church in Warren with Elder Jerome Sledge officiating and Rev. Kent J. Broughton I eulogist. Wake on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Sweet Union COGIC in New Edinburg. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery by Hammons Funeral Home.
