Carlee Gannaway Harley

Carlee Gannaway Harley, 82, of Houston, TX., formerly of Banks, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston.

Born October 23, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Quinnie Gannaway and Gladys Wiley Gannaway.

She received her formal education at the Piney Grove School in Banks and was a former member of First Baptist Church in Banks.

She was also preceded in death by eleven siblings, Leatrice Gannaway, William "Buddy" Moore, Willie Gannaway, Willis "Buck" Gannaway, Eddie Tatum, Clara Brown, Annie Tatum, John Gannaway, John W. Turner, Diane Burns and McKinley "Ducey" Gannaway.

Survivors:  Her sons- A. Chester Davis and wife Gail and Van Edward Davis and wife Sue all of Houston.

Siblings:  Nettie Davis and husband Bobby Joe of Banks, Earnestine Harden and husband Fred, Myrtle Davis, Joyce Childs and husband Willie, Glenda Hines and husband Gary, Earnestine Ingram, Betty M. Davis all of Warren, Rosie Owens and husband J.W. of Arkadelphia, Grady Tatum and wife Sharon of Las Vegas, NV. and Joshua Gannaway and wife Liz of Colorado Springs, CO.

6 grandsons, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were January 10 at St. James AME Church in Warren with Rev. Barry Spencer officiating and Rev. Calvin D. Warner eulogist.  Burial was in Hall Cemetery in Banks by Hammons Funeral Home.
