R.A. Grider

R. A. Grider, age 72, of Warren, Arkansas died Wednesday, July 9, at Arkansas Heart Hospital, Little Rock. He was born August 10, 1941 at Crigler, Arkansas a son of the late Lester Grider and Maggie Spakes Grider.  He was a graduate of the Woodlawn Public School System, was a Baptist and served in the US Army. He was an award winning car salesman, a avid gardener and a well known domino player and loved to cook for the needy.  Surviving is a son David Grider and spouse Adriana, Warren, AR; 3 daughters Melinda Hartzog, Heber Springs, AR, Jamie Huitt,  Tumbling Shoals, AR and Melissa Grider, Monticello, AR; 3 brothers Sonny Grider, Benton, AR, James L. Grider, Pine Bluff, AR. and John Grider, Pansy, AR; 4 sisters June Ruth Saint, Pine Mountain, GA, Peggy Grider, Houston, TX, Barbara Grote, MO, and Joan Perry, Warren, AR; 10 Grandchildren; and a caregiver Judy Watson, Warren AR. He was preceded in death by a son Timothy Grider; 3 brothers Grady Grider, Jackie Grider and Kenneth Grider and a sister Kathy Clemens. Funeral services were 2:00pm Saturday, July 12, at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Ronald Neely officiating. Linda Barrett was organist. Burial with flag presentation ceremony was at Rowell Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers  were Hoss Branson, Edward Branson, Mike Larson, Bobby Parker, Randy Jacks and Jeremy Todd Grider.
